It started with one classroom and grew to reach more than 35 elementary schools in Los Angeles.

It started with a handful of eager students and has now touched more than 40,000 young lives.

It started as one woman’s dream to combat poverty and violence with music in Los Angeles’ poorest neighborhoods

and has become a powerhouse for educating our children.

“It” is Discovering Music, our string program, our mentoring program and our classical music concerts series!

And through it, Santa Cecilia Orchestra is changing lives, empowering communities, building hopes and creating opportunities.
